How far in advance should I book my wedding cake?
Wedding cake bookings are usually taken 1-2 years in advance, however, I'll always do my very best to accommodate all requests, no matter how close the wedding is!
How much can I expect to pay?
Prices for wedding/celebration cakes depend on a number of factors, such as the size of the cake and the complexity of the design. Please check out the pricing section on this site to get an idea and then please feel free to get in touch for an accurate quote.
Will you deliver my cake?
Yes I do offer delivery and for wedding cakes I'm able to cover the whole of the North West of England and North Wales. There is a small charge for this delivery and set-up service, dependent on how far you are away from me.
Your cake is baked to ensure that it's super fresh for the date of your event and is best eaten within 3 days of delivery.
Most of my recipes are nut-free, however, I can't fully guarantee that your cake will be nut-free as nuts are used frequently in my kitchen. This applies to other allergens as well I'm afraid.
Yes, I'm registered with Cheshire West and Chester Council and certified to Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene standards.
Wedding Cake Terms & Conditions
Payment and Booking Fee
A non-refundable booking fee payment of £100 is required to confirm the order and to secure your date. The remaining balance is then due 4 weeks before the delivery date. Orders placed less than 4 weeks in advance of the delivery date must be paid in full. Failure to complete payment 4 weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled.
Unless the order is cancelled within 14 days of booking (your cooling-off period), the £100 booking fee payment is non-refundable under any circumstances. I'm also not able to refund the cost of any orders cancelled within 4 weeks of the agreed delivery date.
If you'd like to try out some flavours prior to booking, wedding cake sample boxes are available to purchase for £25 (inc P&P). The boxes contain 12 individually wrapped cake samples (6 flavours, 2 pieces each).
The fee for delivery and set-up will be confirmed at the time of booking, based on the location of your event. It's the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the venue is able to supply a suitable table, stand (if required) and location for your cake(s) to be displayed. Please note that in warm/hot weather, there is a possibility that some sugar decorations may begin to melt if your cake is left outside or displayed in warm/hot rooms. I cannot be held liable for any damage that may occur to the cake after it has been delivered, inspected and photographed.
Cakes may contain non-edible decorations such as plastic dowels in tiered cakes or wires in some sugar flowers. These must be removed before serving and eating.
Please note that my kitchen is not an allergy-free kitchen. I cannot guarantee that my products are free from ingredients that may affect those with food allergies. I recognise the seriousness of food allergies and recommend that you get in touch before placing an order to inform me of any food allergies that you or any of your party have. I reserve the right to decline any orders for clients with serious food allergies. I will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to my products.
